Harvard's only extended care preschool since 1969
Established in 1969 by Katherine Hildreth, the school operated out of the Hildreth's home. The Barn School is aptly named as the house was the estate's original barn. Later it was moved to the neighboring carriage house where it remains today. Multiple generations have now passed through our doors as we continue our tradition of quality preschool education and care.
While conveniently located on Route 110/111, The Barn School is tucked away on a serene knoll overlooking two acres of open playground space that allows the children to run, explore, and connect with the outside world.
